THE LUMBRE BAND

The Lumbre Band initially hailed from San Jose CA, but after performing several shows under the Latin Rock Inc. banner, it attracted many of San Francisco’s top Latin Rock musicians. Every note emanating from their CD was created at the historical landmarked Mayor of the Mission’s recording studio on the corner of 25th and York Street in the heart of San Francisco’s famed Mission District. This location is internationally recognized as a significant birthplace of Latin Rock’s sounds and origins. The Lumbre Band was led by singer, songwriter and guitarist Robert Banda, who crafted his music into a fusion of rock, jazz, blues, and percussion rhythms the world has come to recognize, love and appreciate as distinctly unique to the Bay Area. Welcome your heart, mind, and soul to these fiery and colorful originals!

The name MOMOTOMBO SF comes from the title of the first song on 1972's Malo Dos album, "Momotombo," which is also an active volcano on the shores of Lago de Managua, Nicaragua. FOREIGN FRONTIERS

Foreign Frontiers began as an indie rock duo that started in Benicia, California. Phinehas Spielman and Byron Mayhew having been writing and playing music together in different projects since middle school.

As things became more serious, the two began to form a clearer image of what is now, Foreign Frontiers.

After a few years of gigging, the band was discovered by Richard Segovia (of Puro Bandido who has toured with Santana, Eddie Money and more) who took them under his wing. Through Segovia, the duo connected with Guillermo Landaker (bass) and Victor Bejarano Jr. (drums) who make up the rhythm section of the band's live performance. Since adding Bejarano and Landaker to show, the band has played Slim's in San Francisco, the Great American Music Hall and has opened for Salvador Santana.

In 2017, the band headlined their first show in San Francisco at Slim's. The band draws inspiration from bands such as Kings of Leon, Young the Giant, Hippo Campus and other indie rock powerhouses.

In 2017, the band announced that they were breaking up and leaving behind their newest full length EP, "Stubborn", for fans to hear. They also leave behind the great memories with fans up and down the San Francisco Bay Area.

In 2025, the Foreign Frontiers returned to the stage after 8 years at the Latin Rock House mural in San Francisco, CA.

You can download the album on Apple Music, listen on Spotify and everywhere else you can listen to music or you can simply click on the album picture on the side to hear their music on Apple Music.
